Character Costumes

Rhiannon (House owner)
Rhiannons character is a typical woman. She should look as vulnerable as possible, which is easy to do. She should wear make up to look girly and create a look of innocence and wear iconic female clothing such as jeans to show the audience she is not in a position of violence and is not armed and therefore vulnerable. Giving the audience the impression that she is innocent will make them think that there is more danger for her and create suspense what will happen to her. She can also add other normal items to her look such as a mobile phone, headphones, and a girly top. She should wear this each filming day for realism. She should wear white to connote innocence and purity, so that the audience know she is the vulnerable one in the film from her first shot.

Laura (Burglar)
I am playing the burglar and so should wear clothes that connote a dangerous, mysterious character. Black should be worn, a hoodie or baggy clothing would be suitable. Make up should be black to hide giveaway facial features and can carry a bat or weapon of some sort. Hair can look messy as if the person is not a normal person in society and appearance is not important for this kidnapper.
Example outfit for Rhiannon's character.

This is the kind of image we want to create for my character. They should look dark and mysterious. This can be achieved through my costume by wearing clothes that do not reveal a lot of the character and have dark facial features. Another way to achieve a mysterious appeal would be not to have a lot of direct camera time on the face of the character so that they are more discrete in who they are. A burglar would not be wearing an unusual, memorable outfit and would likely wear a disguise something like this.
