To decide on the genre originally, I took a poll survey form 21 random people between the ages of 16-30 and asked them their favourite film genre. This gives me a good idea of what genre people in my target audience enjoy most. This will inspire my film on what approach to take to it, depending on the most popular genre.

From my research I have a better development on idea brainstorming for my film opening. I found that from my research I conducted that the most popular genre is thriller for the target audience age group I will specify. I want my film to have the typical thriller conventions of fast-paces, action and suspense in a short space of time.
